September'11 - Week 3

I didn't shop much last week, just one thing. I was occupied with some personal issues, and also hubby and I will go on a vacation in November, must save up for that! Anyway, I'm almost out of MAC Fix+, so I was thinking to try a different brand of a makeup setting spray, to see if there's something better out there. So I found this product on Amazon website. The customer reviews are okay, the good and the bad ones are pretty even. So I took the risk and bought one with an Amazon gift card, so it's technically free!

Makeup in a Bottle Makeup Setting Spray - $11.34

So, I used it once, and now it's just collecting dust under the bathroom sink. It is REALLY that bad. The sprayer sucks. I had to press it really hard to make it work, sometimes it sprayed too much, sometimes it just wet my hand.
When the liquid touched my skin, it stung! It only lasted a few seconds, but it shouldn't have stung.
The smell, it stinks. It has very strong perfume smell. The smell lingered for hours.
In the afternoon, my face felt slightly tight and dry instead of oily. I usually use a couple of oil blotting sheets. So it does have good oil control. BUT, when I checked out my face really closely, the whole surface of my face had dry crusts! Eww !! It made me think this setting spray has the same ingredients as hairsprays does!

I want to return, but shipping is like $3-4. So I don't know. Glad it's cheap though.

September'11 - Week 2

I bought some nail polish with the free shipping coupon code that came with the VIB freebies last month from Sephora.
SEPHORA Delight Nail Trio (Orig. $11) - $5

Full Moon Party (deep purple with metallic sparkles)
Amethyst Stiletto (tiny silver glitter sparkles in a purple base)
Girls Want Tenderness (light purple with subtle metallic shimmers)

I love the Full Moon Party and the Amethyst Stiletto! Very vibrant and glittery! Not liking the Girls Want Tenderness, it's plain and pink-ish.

On Labor day, I purchased a few things from Banana Republic. They were having 30% off of everything on the site, PLUS there's also a 40% off code that's stackable with the 30% off! Good deal!

BANANA REPUBLIC Cowlneck Ruffle Tank (Orig. $45) - $10.49

A hella cute ruffle tank! I bought a similar tank top from Esprit as shown on the previous blog entry. I was hesitated before because the ruffle style looks "young" for my age. But, this BR model looks like someone in mid-20s. So, I think it's okay for me to wear it.
Pretty good quality fabric, it's not sheer. Too bad it has big armpit holes, it shows off my bra a little bit. O well, I'm gonna wear it with a cardigan. So it's not a big of a deal.

BANANA REPUBLIC Open Cardigan (Orig. $69.50) - $23.09

A cardigan that fits for fall and winter seasons. It's kind of expensive for a cardigan, but I'm keeping it. I don't have a cardigan in this color.

BANANA REPUBLIC Wrap Blouse (Orig. $45) - $16.79

This top is very soft, and I love it hides my cleavage just as modeled. I should have bought the other colors too.

RueLaLa had a clearance sale last week. Out of impulse, I bought a couple of things with my store credit.   I only had to pay for the shipping fee. So, total was $9.95 for a dress and a pair of sandals!

PRANA "Mina" (Orig. $75) - $29.90

A lightweight tie-dye jersey summer dress with a touch of hippie. LOL
I like it, glad I picked the right size.
The skirt part falls a bit low though. On the model, the skirt falls right below her waistline. On me, the skirt falls really low below my hips. I guess because I have a short torso. O well, I still like it, I'm going to wear it to work if the weather is still warm this following week.

DANSKO "Caroline" (Orig. $120) - $19.90

My first pair of the famous Dansko sandals.  I love the color! I luckily was able to grab the last pair of these cute sandals in my size. The straps are made of suede leather. Very very comfortable. Perfect for long walk and traveling.

September'11 - Week 1

Nordstrom website now offers free shipping and return! How cool is that! No more paying $8 shipping. I bought myself a pair of bermuda shorts, for less than $15. Yay cheap! They are stretchy and quality is very nice too.

JAG Jeans "Shawnie" Denim Bermuda Shorts (Orig. $49) - $14.97

I found this top on the Esprit website. They are currently having 40% off and free shipping/return. The top/mini dress is about mid-thigh length. So it can be worn alone or with tights or jeans.  I love the ruffle trim.

ESPRIT Mini Dress (Orig. $31.99) - $19.19

My friend found an online store that sells some discounted brand name clothes and shoes. They also had some Prada pumps for super duper cheap. They were cheap because the site only had a pair of each left.
I bought these $600 nude pumps for $49.99!! My friend bought the same pair in white color.

These pumps are very beautiful, but they are not really my style, too dressy and my hubby doesn't like them too, but I couldn't ignore such good deal. I might end up selling them instead of keeping them.

 PRADA (Orig. $600) - $49.99+s/h

Update: I ended up selling these shoes on eBay. Got pretty decent profit. :)
