"Natural" Beauty Buys

I'm loving organics products!

The Avalon Organics Vitamin C face cleanser and cream I bought previously (Blog) have been great! It's improved the condition of my skin, my old acne scars are fading, and I haven't gotten any new acne(s).*knock on wood*

I saw a couple of Soompi members purchased this jojoba oil. It got good reviews on iHerb*. I purchased it on eBay since it's cheaper, plus I had to use my eBay Bucks before it expired.

*iHerb new customer, use promo code BUN126, to get $5 off of your first order.

Now Foods Organic Jojoba Oil 4 oz - $7.87 shipped

For softer skin and healthier hair
100% Pure

These oils are remarkably similar to the natural sebum secreted by our own skin, and serve as an excellent moisturizer that is suitable for both daily and occasional use. In fact, some of the world's finest perfume makers have made Jojoba their carrier of choice in light of its rich texture and high stability. Jojoba Oil nourishes and revitalizes skin, relieves sunburn, and can even be used on hands, hair and nails.

I added a few drops to my body lotion and conditioner, just as suggested. I've only used it a couple of times, so I can't comment much.
I can comment that it hasn't given me bad allergic reaction though. ^_^"

Next, I'm trying out the foundation powder.
After reading reviews on iHerb and Makeupalley, I decided to buy this Aubrey Organics foundation powder.

Aubrey Organics - Silken Earth Translucent Base (BEIGE) - $23.91 shipped

BIG container. VERY generous amount. This foundation will literally last forever!

I was split between "porcelain beige" and "beige". I picked "beige" because of a positive review from a Japanese girl. I just assumed she had the typical asian fair yellow skin tone just like mine. Yeah, I know, it's silly way to pick a shade.
I purchased it on Luckyvitamins site because the "beige" shade was sold out on iHerb. I checked the site again today, it's currently back in stock.

The liquid foundation is Dr. Jart Black Label BB cream.

I'll update my post about this foundation, after I try it out for a few days.

Update (5/12/10):
I've tried this powder for a week. No break outs! Yay!
It has nice flower fragrance. Not strong. It disappears fast.
It blends well with my skin and the Dr. Jart Black Label BB Cream.
Good oil control. But, probably because I use a primer foundation and because of the BB cream.
It doesn't provide good coverage since it's translucent. So I only use it as a finishing powder, or when I have to go out to do some errands, but lazy to put on makeup.
Staying power is moderate.
It has good staying power if I apply a foundation primer first (Sephora).
Without primer, I have to re-apply more often.
So, I transferred some of the powder into a sifter jar (Sephora) for touch-up.

So, around 2 weeks ago, Dermstore was selling eyeshadows that were infused with white tea, which brings firming action to the eye area. They were on sale for $5, originally $15. Of course I would like to try them out.

Global Goddess Beauty I-Divine Eyecolor - $5 each (Orig. $18 each)
+ 2 samples

Darjeeling - Katrina - Madhuri

I-Divine Eyecolor features a smooth, velvety texture for a crease-proof finish. Its ultra-nourishing formulation also features white tea to neutralize free radicals. Highly concentrated pigment supplies rich, lasting color to create any look.

Darjeeling - matte brown
Katrina - shimmer beige
Madhuri - matte olive

They are okay. Nice shades for daily use. They are not as pigmented as MAC eyeshadows, but they are long lasting, plus they are infused with white tea.

  1. For swagbucks, does the toolbar (i installed it) work just as well as going to the home page and searching?

What is the home page scroller the people at slickdeals are talking about? is it the search on the Swagbucks site? I'm so confused!
